An account of the life and times of Henry Carter (26.05.1924-15.02.2014) that depicts the remarkable will and luck that helped him survive. From the life he led as a boy working in the mines helping his veteran father of WWI living in Workington, Cumbria, Great Britain, to his extraordinary life during WWII as a Merchant Navy seaman, and then his life after war in times of peace, as a successful family man, right up to his final departure in February 2014.
