Digital Literacies Expanded Infographic

Google pics, compiled, edited, regurgitated, OER 2017 This is an expanded version of my original infographic for language learning and teaching through digital literacies. It's CLT and Eclectic based, with structured and blended learning and teaching via a flipped classroom scenario. I have been working with this model on and off within the community working as a volunteer for a number of years. It's great being able to put everything into perspective because I always categorise taxonomy or terminology pigeon-holing them in order to think outside the box. Something about myself I finally got to understand through my communications professor Karey Harrison. This is a beta version, so there is room for variation. Language can never be set in stone as such, because that is the nature of communication. To the left and right of the infographic are new parameters that have come into existence since the advent of the Internet and hand held technologies. With the introduction of Web2 tools, there has been an innovative surge in the development of useful applications for everyday life, business and education. Therefore, the shifting of the sands continue. For the next generation of learners will need to be digitally literate in order to survive. Already it is becoming difficult to get things done without the aide of digital technologies.

I will leave the pros and cons about this for a later post as I am still working on an essay about: "How authentic language learning can be supported by the use of Web2 tools." This Website kept me busy for nearly two days, so I hope to squeeze it in.

NB: It should be noted for this infographic that: the key to innovation is through the art of collaboration [creativity].
